An approach for analyzing the effectiveness of C³I systems in the battlefield is presented in this paper. The proposed approach includes modelling，analysis, simulation and data processing methods and techniques. We demonstrate that the effectiveness of C³I systems can be evaluated by properly applying the approach. An canonical example is given as well.
