The scan ring diagnostic techniques are advanced and popular in the world. In this paper，the principles and method of scan ring diagnosis are presented，and the designs of hardware and software for scan ring diagnosis are discussed. Not only are the efficiency and ability analysed，but aslo an accelerating approach is proposed.
