This paper introduces a new theory that the concept in differential geometry of “contact”between curve and camber is applied to numbercally controlled machining sculpture surface. It puts forward the optimum contact condition for machining sculpture surface using cylindrical tool or bevel cutter with five coordinates co-operating.
