A CAN board acted as the interface between PC and controller area network is designed and its virtual device driver under Windows9X OS is developed, which ensure that PC can be successfully used in CAN. Micro controller on board accomplishes underlying communicating tasks, and exchanges data with PC through dual-port RAM. This system, which characterizes simple structure and good reliability, has been applied to maglev successfully.
