In view of the strong nonlinear feature of the magnetic suspension and balance system,variable structure controller is designedTaking the Y axis as an example,the procedure of designing nonlinear variable structure controller is discussed.The aim is to keep the error as zero.The design step includes three aspects.The design consequence is emulated at the same time.The result of the emulation shows that the dynamic properties of the system are upstanding.
