The 5-acetyl-2-aminobenzophenone with high yield was synthesized by using p-nitroacetophenone, ethylene glycol, phenylacetonitrile, hydrogen, perchloric acid as raw materials. The reaction mechanism is discussed simply, and the structure of compound is identified by elemental analysis, IR and ¹HNMR.
