A new Doppler Estimation Method based on frequency and frequency rate estimation and pulse period estimation is proposed. The new method is intended for solving the unmatched sampling problems and obviating the judgments of pulse edge, which permits the pulse period estimation based on intermediate frequency sampling signals. The frequency and frequency rate estimation technique was introduced, and based on that, the theoretic precision and error origins are discussed. The feasibility and availability of the new method were proved by the simulations.
