Considering the landing field's elastic-plastic characteristic, a model which took the capsule's vertical landing as an elastic-plastic contact problem was established. The numerical simulation indicated that the soil's bearing capability played an important role during the capsule's landing, with the same Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio: when the soil's bearing capability increases, the capsule gets bigger acceleration, less energy loss and higher bounce.
