In this paper，the thesis of "Double-Frequency Chattering" is first presented，the mechanism is also investigated; The conclusions are a11 supported by the experiments. We consider that the Investigation of "Double-Frequency chattering" has not only the important practical value，but also will lead to some revisions of traditional theory of machine tool chatting.
