    Abstract:

    The crystal window of high-power laser can not work in gear because of the heat caused by absorption of high-power beam. The supersonic free-vortex segment is usually employed to seal low-pressure laser-cavity. In this article the procedures are described for determining free-vortex segment properties. Characteristics method is used to design nozzle which produces free-vortex segment.
