    Abstract:

OH radical distribution images were obtained with planar laser induced fluorescence (PLIF) in several different flames. The principle of measurement was clarified briefly. Factors that influence the measurements were discussed. The PLIF images were com-pared with the spontaneous emission image of the flame. Application of PLIF technology to combustion process analysis was attempted. Results support the viewpoint that this technology is a powerful tool for the combustion diagnosis.
