Based on the features of the information environment supporting clinical diagnosis, a multi-agent-based clinical diagnosis support system (CDSS) was designed by combining agent technology. This system possesses such characteristics as isomerism, distributing, parallelism and expansibility. It can adapt to the requirement of CDSS and efficiently improve performance of CDSS.
