Abstract:The passive locating and tracking of moving emitters in space by time difference measurements is discussed in this paper. Extended Kalman Filter is utilized to process the measurements in order to improve the accuracy of locating and tracking,The determination of initial conditions of the filter is also studied. The results from computer simulation are satisfactory.

Abstract:The present paper introduces a 8-mm band high-efficiency feed horn. This horn can be operated in bipolarized radiafing systems and has higher performence. A good agreement between theoretical and experimental performence is obtained. A set of new generalized curves which can be used in designing other fands moremode horn with flare-angle changes is provided in this paper.

Abstract:In this paper,the formulas have been developed concerning the relationship of the impulse response sequence h(i,j)of a c1ass of two-dimension ARMA model and the parameter sets {aij} and {bij},and the proof is given. With the help of the formulas,an algorithm determining the model's order is given by the impulse response sequence; then an algorithm identifying the model's parameter sets {aij} and {bij} is given by means of the impulse response sequence and the order determined. By the algorithms, the method based on the impulse reponse sequence is obtained to determine the two-dimensional frequency response,it is different from FFT algorithm. Compared with classifical FFT algorithm, it has the following advantages: (1)smaller calculating quantities. (2)higher resolution. (3)continuous frequency respcnse can be given. At last,an example of simulation is illustrated. When improved,the algorithm can be applied to radar target identification and image reconstruction.
Abstract:It is important to study the locally optimum detectors (LOD) both in theory and practice. In this paper a model and a criterion are proposed for the generalized LOD. On the basis of such criterion,the genevalized LOD structures are devived for detecting several typical signals in non-Gaussian noise,and the asymptotic relative efficiency (ARE) due to Pitman is used to evaluate their performance. Finally,numerical calculations are carried out for ARE of these LOD and some valuable conclusions are obtained.
Abstract:Polynomial transform Over rational number field was first proposed by H.J. Nussbaumer in 1977. In this paper we introduce polynomial transform over finite field. This paper presents various necessary and sufficient conditions for causing such a transform and gives a method to obtain the transform. We have also found the number of polynomial transforms for a fixed transform module and fixed transform length. The theory is expected to be widely used in signal processing,encoding and decoding.

Abstract:This paper introduces the research of the compatibility between NICALON fiber and aluminum al1oy,pure aluminum,Al-l%Si alloy. The SiO2+Al layer is plated on the NICALON fiber surface by physical vapor plating and ion plating. After heated in vacuum,the SiC fiber is extrated. The tensile strengh of the fiber is tested. The SiO2 plating and the Al-l%Si alloy proves to have a little benefit for preventing the SiC fiber from degradation.
Abstract:An improved method for testing Kevlar-49 fiber content of Kevlar-49/epoxy composites is introduced in this paper. We evaluated and improved the testing method reported by Sandia laboratory,New Mexico through experiment. The improved testing method has advantages,such as rapid testing,low cost,low toxicity and precision,over Sandia laboratory's method.

Abstract:The pressure field of bonding region in explosive welding has been measured with a manganin pressure gauge. In the experiment,the welding configuration of unsymmetrical collision of aluminium-aluminium plates is adopted. The gauge is buried at different depthes,the flyers of two thicknesses are used. The explosive is a mixed one consisted of PETN and foam rubber (density-0.9g/cm3,measured mean detonation velocity-3000m/s).
