Abstract:A modelling of the high-pressure hypergolic bipropellant combustion process for liquid rocket engine is presented in this paper. The modelling takes account of the decomposition reaction of UDMH,dissociation reaction of N2O4,highpressure vaporization, secondary atomization of mixture ratio and flow flux in the cross-section of the combustor. As an example of the application of this model, the combustion efficiency and energy release distribution of 3 injectors for FY-2 Engine are calculated in theory. The calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental data.

Abstract:The area ratio selection and nozzle contour design are important tasks. In this paper, the two-dimensional optimization technique is used to optimize area ratio and nozzle contour by means of the program of computation of two-phase nozzle flow and direct optimization techniques. It is shown that the area ratio of thrust maximum considering two-dimensional two-phase loss is much smaller than the theorectical optimum area ratio, and it is greater than that of impulse-weight ratio maximum for conical nozzle, and it is just a little greater than that one for contour nozzle, and the optimization contour is the optimization contour under optimum area ratio for contour nozzle.

Abstract:In this paper,a direct optimal method-the method of Bellman dynamic programming has been used to search out the best thrust plan in a optimization process for sounding rocket. The recurrence formula of local optimization is set up in it. In the paper, because of using the coefficients to restrict the seeking range in each Bellman stage and the scheme of single spot insertion, the calculation speed and accuracy has been increased greatly and the inserted calculations of non-intersection parameters points have become more stable and relatively credible level can be available. Moreover, the calculation has been programed in a microcomputer IBM PC/XT. The program can be used directly for rough design of rocket. It wil1 provide a theoretical basis with relatively credible level for the scheme proof.

Abstract:Spline Kantorovich method is a numerical method for structural analysis which is lately put forward. It is essentially a discrete kantorovich method. This method can transfer two-dimensional problems to one-dimensional problems and reduce the total number of unknowns greatly. 1n this paper, based on the Mindlin assumption, spline kantorovich method is applied to bending and linear stability analysis of isotropic or anisotropic plates and cylindrical shells.

Abstract:A new finite element-9 node degenerate shell hybrid/mixed element with stress separation is presented in this paper. It is based on a modified Hellinger-Reissner principle. This element not only possesses following merits: (i) High accurate stress and displacement evaluation; (ii) Free from zero energy or kinematic deformation modes; (iii) Largely weaken the locking effect; (iv) Invariant with reference coordinates. but also improves its efficiency to set against other hybrid/mixed finite elements. Transverse shearing effect is taken into account. Several numerical examples are solved, and the solutions are compared to the existing ones. The results show that the present element yields accurate solutions for shallow and deep shells.

Abstract:A general solution of the differential equation of deflection surface for the rectangular thin plate in stability study is obtained in this paper. It can be used to determine the critical load of rectangular plate with arbitrary boundaries. As an example, the critical load and buckling mode of a square plate with four edges free and subjected to uniform compression along four edges have been calculated.

Abstract:In this paper, the microstructural continuous damage theory describing an anisotropic damage field is formulated. With various simplifications, this damage model can be reduced to a few majar models well known at present, such as the elastic anisotropic damage tensor model presented by J.P.Cordebois and F.Sidoroff; the planar micro-cracks damage vector model for brittle matterials by D.Krajcinovic; the isotropic damage scalar model by J.Lemaitre, and the unidimensional damage model by L. M. Kachanov. By means of a tentative test for the present theory, the author uses it for the analysis of the concrete specimen under uni-axial tension and compression,as examplified by D. Krajcinovic. The numerical results obtained show good agreement with the experimental values.

Abstract:In this paper,a new method is provided to fit the fatigue test data of S-N curves using the expression N(S-S0)m=D which can be applied to engineering extensively. By means of the direct modelling method of GM(1,1) in the grey system theory, three parameters S0,m and D are determined. The calculation shows that this method is accurate, simple and practical.

Abstract:In this paper, perturbation technique is introduced into the method of Harmonic Balance. A new and effective method called Perturbation-Harmonic Balance is obtained. A great deal solutions and the order of harmonic coefficients do not need to be known previously, using the method imcomparable to the method of Harmonic Balance. On the other hand, the procedure of solving nonlinear oscillations becomes very simple. Using the method it is not related to solution of differential equation, and then it is superior to Lindstedt-Poincare and multiple scales.

Abstract:A series of new methods and a general software system for digital moire pattern procersing are presented in this paper. These new methods utilize the grey level information over the whole field to make transformation and processing of the digital moire patterns, whereby the strain results over the whole field are obtained. These methods and software system provide a powerful tool for wider use of the moire technique.

Abstract:The problem of adaptive control of d step delayed multivariable system in lattice and ladder form is discussed and solved The closed loop system under adaptive control is embedded into ARMA model, then using the algorithm of lattice and ladder form, the order and parameters can be predicted. A simple method can be used to derive the formulas of d step problems. The problem of unmodeled dynamics of adaptive systems can be overcome by using adaptive control in lattice and ladder form.

Abstract:A generalized equation of motion for KED analysis of general flexible mechanisms has been developed by utilizing newly isoparametric finite element theory in this paper. As a natural result, the mass matrix is a positive definite consistent and time-independent one,and the two time-dependent and nonsymmetric matrice, that is,the “gyroscopic damping”and “centrifugal stiffness”ones, don't exist in the equation. Thus the equation with concise form may be derived and solved easily. Also based on the one-dimensional isoparametric beam elements, the equation for some flexible planar linkages has been derived in detail, and a numerical result of a planar for-bar linkage is presented in the paper.

Abstract:At present, there are many studies on the monitor of cutting too1 wear and breakkage and on the monitor of the shape of chips by acoustic emission (AE). In metal cutting process, there are several different AE sources. Moreover, these different AE signals mix with one another. So,the separation of these different AE signals is the key to the monitor of cutting state by AE. In this paper, the separation of the different AE signals in turning process is studied experimentally by making use of a measurement system with wide frequency band and the analysis method of maximum entropy spectrum. The experimental rerults show that the separating different AE signals in frequency domain is feasible.

Abstract:This paper presents that the order ratio aliasing and leaking are two main problems of signal processing in the signature analysis and discusses the reasons for the order ratio aliasing and leaking. The paper presents that the order ratio filter (ORF) is a good method of restraining order ratio aliasing. The frequency ratio synthesizer (FRS) is developed for restraining leakage and engineering applications. The ORF and FRS are the main hardware devices in the whole signature analysis system in a microcomputer. The paper gives the design principles, circuit block digrams, system block diagram of the signature analysis system in a microcomputer which is composed of the FRS,TMS32010 data acquisition device, master computer and plotter. Finally. the results of fault diagnosis using the system to a ball bearing are given.
