Abstract:According to the distributions of target features and noise, this paper presents the formula of the minimum error probability (Bayes error probability) in some conditions. This formula relates directly the minimum error probability to the distributions of features and noise and can be used to analyse the effectiveness of target features in noisy background. As an example, the effectiveness of IR. radiation features of target and decoy is analysed in the paper.

Abstract:An effective detection method based on the neural network is proposed in this paper. By the self-organizing learning in high efficiency, it can model different kinds of noise or clutter rapidly and accurately. This results in a good detection performance, and this detector can approximate the optimal ones on the condition of different statistical distributions. Finally the experiments have proved the effectiveness of this approach.

Abstract:Spectrum analysis is the most important branch in radar signal processing and significant of radar target classification and feature detection. Having the special property, higher spectrum is very useful for us to analyse radar echoes from a new view. This paper presents double (Q, K) bispectrum algorithm for ultra-wideband radar echoes. Compared with other bispectrum estimation algorithm, simulation results show that the algorithm we presented here has significant improvement. At last, we cite an example for the application.

Abstract:In this paper, the Linear Kernel TFR is proposed according to the AF of the sum of chirp and its delayed version. The method enables us to obtain high time and frequeney resolution while suppressing cross-term and minimizing the noise in the signal. Analytical and practical demonstrations have proved the validity and applicability of the proposed method.

Abstract:This paper presents a new divide-and-conquer algorithm for the eigenvalue problem of symmetric tridiagonal matrices. The new algorithm oases on bisection and secant iteration, which is different from Cuppen's method and Laguerre iteration. The results of theoretical analysis and numerical testing show that the convergent rate of our algorithm is obviously faster than that of Laguerre iteration presented in [1]. When the problem scale is quite large, with the same requirement of accuracy, more than 40% of the computing time can be reduced by using this new algorithm.

Abstract:An Archimedean plannar spiral antenna mounted on the grounded double-layer is investiged. Based on the substrate superstrate Green' s function in terms of Sommerfeld-type integrals for a horizontal Hertzian dipole on the superstrate, the current distribution along the spiral arm is determined by using an integral equation with the moment method, the input impedance, radiation pattem, axial ration and power gain are calculated on the basis of the obtained current distrbution, which is very important for optimum design of the printed wire antennas. Experimental results show that the numerical method is correct .

Abstract:A system based on object-oriented large-grain data flow model, called OOCPCS, is designed to facilitate parallelism in distributed system. Its underlying model of computation is an integrated object-oriented paradigm and large-grain data flow model, called OOLGDFM. It introduces persistent state object and object-oriented features into large-grain data flow model. Its graphs are constructed dynamically. The paper discusses the realization of the model in OOCPCS, the use of forward _ list, parallelizing compiler, POC programming language, object-oriented network file I/O, and the virtual OOLGDFM machine.

Abstract:A new type device for fixing and starting racing boats is described in this paper. The device mainly consists of float platform, back fixing units and side supporting ones. It is unnecessary to operate under water and the system can be moved easily for changing racing range because the whole system floats on water. Application in the 1st World Dragon-boat Championship proves that it is simple to produce, easy to use and reliable. The PRC patent number of the device is 95236969. 9.

Abstract:A method to calculate the dry mass of single-stage vehicle is proposed in this paper. A baseline vehicle is presented for the given flight mission, and the effects of the tank material, the thermal protection system and the design margin on the vehicle dry mass are calculated. The calculation results show that the advanced material and design can decrease the vehicle dry mass and its sensitivity to the design margin.

Abstract:Based on the nonliear mathematical model for the steady state operation of a liquid rocket engine, the effects of each interfering factor on the parameters of liquid rocket engine are calculated. The comparative analysis is carried out for the effects of the interfering factors on the engine parameters by using both nonlinear method and method of small deviations. The results obtained can be used for the analysis of the pump-fed gas generator cycle liquid rocket engine test results, the reliability analysis and the fault analysis, and also for bringing to light the variation of the engine parameters with various interfering factors.

Abstract:This paper describes a new approach to robot path planning : the transition cost matrix based approach. By defining the concept of transition cost matrix and the 2-ary operator on the transition cost matrix, the optimum paths are generated from the operations on the matrix, thus the optimum paths between all points in the environment can be achieved via limited matrix operations to attain the aim of constructing the optimum path set at the preprocessing stage. The paper ends with the application of the proposed approach for mobile robots’mission planning.
