Abstract:This paper presents an approach to terrain uniqueness analysis in terrain contour matching. The approach, based on the physical model of terrain contour matching, defines a probability vector to describe the local terrain uniqueness and thus provides a way to measure terrain uniqueness via entropy. From analysis and computer simulation, the paper concludes that the lower the terrain entropy, the better the terrain uniqueness and the higher the performance of terrain contour matching.

Abstract:The design of Satellite Constellation is one of the important steps to carry out space missions. This paper focuses mainly on the problem of how to design δ constellation effectively. The method, which is used to analyse the covering condition of some area with many satellites at one certain time, is discussed and certified. Based on this method, δ constellation is analysed by the means of simulating calculation. The method to design δ constellation is given at the end of the paper, and some δ constellation, which are designed by this method to fulfill some special needs, are listed.

Abstract:In this paper, the character of high altitude plume flowfield is analyzed. The principle of DSMC method and its key points are also discussed. Abstract:The numerical calculation of the unsteady full Navier-Stokes equations by means of time-marching is discussed in this thesis. To simulate jet wake and main flowfield's diturbance of axisymmetric blunt body, the finite volume method is used in the governing equations. The numerical results of time-marching give some fine topological structure of near wake. In addtion we make comparison and analysis in some different ratioes of pressure.

And so video composing is an important research topic. This paper discusses combining modes and combining strategies and combining methods of video images. Combining algorithms of video images are given based on relay level of video images. The performance of three combining modes is analysed and compared as well.

Abstract:In order to improve efficiency of query processing while exploring the parallelism, according to the features of asynchronous parallel query processing model in parallel object-oriented databases, three parallel query optimization strategies are proposed, They are: (1) the data subset preselection strategy; (2) the information flow delayed strategy; (3) the information flow reduced strategy. They are suitable for not only the single query but also the multiple queries. The simulation results show that they are efficient practical parallel query optimization strategies.

Abstract:In this paper, we present a method of training a feedforward neural network using supervised learning scheme to balance an inverted pendulum and cart system. The data used to train the neural network was obtained from a human expert doing the same task. The trained neural network uncovers a set of rules which could be very difficult to derive from the human expert. Comparison was made between the neural-network learned rule and a decision tree rule deducted by Quilan's ID3 induction algorithm using the same set of data. Experiment results showed that the neural network learned rule is more robust. At the same time, we find that the neural network learned rule can be modified to do a similar and more important task——the attitude control of a rocket.

Abstract:With the property of simple structure, self-routing and low hardware complexity, Banyan networks has been taken as interconnection network by many multi-processor systems and switching systems. However, its blocking property limits its performance and wide use. It is known that Banyan network is nonblocking for some special input/output patterns. In this paper, a class of nonblocking property of Banyan network is discussed, then some useful examples are demonstrated through application to ATM switch design: to promote ability of load sharing through data distribution and to implement multicast ability using lower hardware cost.

Abstract:The advent of multimedia application calls for new scheduling paradigms in operating system. The new paradigm should be able to handle the combination of hard real-time、soft real-time and conventional application present in many multimedia systems. Abstract:This paper discusses a method to reduce calculation load by means of layered searching construction of association hypothesis events. The layer here can take 0 value or an integer L. Layer 0 means that no target can find its association data from current returns. Layer L means that L targets can find their association data from current returns. Our layered construction method in the paper is recursive and of independence among layers, so it can also be implemented in parallel structure. Comparative analysis of the method with relative methods in other references and the corresponding computer simulation tests and the results are also given in the paper.

Abstract:Based on the dynamics models and their identification of mechanical-electronic systems of flexible machining devices, we have built up a real condition monitoring model which includes BAYES fault detection, abrupt fault detection and fault analysis&location. Utilizing the Kullback information distance and the multilevel hierarchical AR model, we have realized the prediction and alarming of faults of flexible machining devices. The experiments on the JCS-020 Machine Center have indicated the models are feasible and valid. They can properly eliminate the influence of the changeful machining mode and process, the factors of time-varying and random disturbances on the condition monitoring, fault diagnosis and prediction, and greatly improve robustness and adaptability of monitoring and diagnosis in the FMS environments.

Abstract:In this paper, the semi-ductile regime grinding mechanism by creep feed method is analysed. A new fracture ratio is defined to measure the effect of semi-ductile regime grinding. The experimental method and the experimental equipment are presented. The experimental results are analysed and compared. The experimental results show that the semi-ductile regime grinding of hard-brittle material can be carried out in a universal grinding machine tool, and the grinding effect can be improved remarkably by the creep feed method.

Abstract:In this paper, firstly, the requirement of application to in telligent information processing in modern combat environments is analyzed, then, an introduction and analysis of the use of artificial neural networks (ANN) in military electronic information processing is presented in detail. The emphasis is laid on the use of ANN in the detection, recognition of radar, infrared and sonar objects as well as in multi maneuvering target tracking (MMTT) and the intelligent control of weapon systems. By presenting both theory and examples, the characteristic and priority of the ANN technology is shown, at the same time, an outline of the use of ANN in other aspects of military electronic information processing is given. At the end of this paper, in viewing of the lagging of the field application behind lab research of ANN, we give an analysis of the necessity and urgency to perform research on system validation about ANN's capability.

Abstract:In this paper the heating uniformity of porcelain is studied by microwave and far infrared radiation, the results indicate that the uniformity of the former is superior to the latter. The germicidal efficacy of microwave and far infrared radiation is compared in laboratory. It is also demonstrated that the efficacy of microwave is significantly higher than that of far infrared radiation.
