This paper describes a general CNC system,which uses AST386 as the controller,with a D C servo-drive system and software and hardware interface,the main components in this system are analyzied,and a classical PID control method is used to design the controller for this system,finally,the system output response and the controller performance are investigated based upon the experimental data of this milling machine system.
