Abstract:
When a high-power pulsed Laser beam interacts with a target in the time of the order of microsecond, the experimental results show that the Laser-supported detonation wave yet occurs due to a sublimation of the target in a vacuum background. A compression wave generated by this Laser-supported detonation wave propagates into the target, this wave is a significant factor for damage of the target, but the recoil pressure of vaporization, the thermal stress and ablation damage of the target to irradiation by the high-power pulsed Laser are also factors that can not be neglected. Experiments also show that the follow-up Laser radiation can be shielded by the Laser-supported detonation wave when the Laser-supported detonation wave occurs in the vacuum background.
