For any given sequence of data points, in this paper，a C¹ shape preserving interpo1ating quadratic and cubic sp1ine function S(x) by inserting some new knots are constructed by using Bernstein po1ynomai1s. The S(x) is simp1e and efficient to ca1cu1ate. Finally the monotonic shape preserving sp1ine function is a1so discussed.
