    Abstract:

The accurate and fast measurement of complex free-form surfaces is of great value. But this problem has not been perfectly solved yet. When implementing this measurement, the major difficulty of stereo vision technology lies in the locating and matching of image features rapidly and accurately. This paper presents a stereo vision method for measurement of free-form surfaces with the features of laser scan targets, an optimum matching algorithm and triangular element interpolation for surface representation, which makes the measurement fast, accurate and flexible.
