Abstract:
A general solution of differential equation for transverse displatement function in free vibration of rectangular thin plate on elastic foundation is obtained. It can be used to solve the vibration problem of rectangular plate with arbitrary boundaries. For example, a square plate with two adjacent edges fixed and other two free have been calculated.
