    Abstract:

    A novel approach of extracting the high resolution signaturesof the ballistictarget in midcourse is proposed. This methodprocesseshigh-resolution radar echo by using STRETCHand extracts the signature of thetargetby using ESPRIT,includingthe positionand intensityof scattering centers.Then, the methodof Gerschgorinradii is used to estimate the number of scatteringcenters forremoving theillusive frequency dot. Compared with the FFTalgorithm, thisapproachpossesses higher resolution powe and can suppressthe clutter moreeffectively. Simulation results verify theeffectiveness of the method.
