Abstract:
The dynamic model of the parachute system with the inverted ‘Y’ suspension is established, which is widely used in recovery systems. The model is comprised of the general rigid-body equations considering apparent mass and the modeling method of suspension system based on the assumption of “equilibrium points”. A simulation analysis for a spaceship's airdrop experiment is carried out and the validity of models is showed by the experiment data.
