Abstract:The optimal ascent trajectory design of the vehicle is an optimal control problem with strict terminal constraints and variable final time. The classical algorithms always encounter the problems of high sensitivity to initial guess and local convergence in solving this problem. Aiming at these problems, genetic algorithm (GA) which is of good global convergence is applied to designing the optimal ascent trajectory .In order to improve the convergence rate of GA and overcome its premature problems, two hybrid GA (HGA) combining the merits of GA with those of simplex method are proposed. The computational results testify that the two HGA are effective global optimization approach for solving complex problems, and they can successfully solve the optimal control problems with variable final time.

Abstract:To survive the laser's attack, ballistic missiles can spin to reduce the dwell time of the beam at a particular point on the missile. The realzation of stability is different from before. We design the missile's autopilot by the method of classical control theory and MFD technology. The simulation result shows that the unsteady aerodynamic ballistic missile can fly stablly at the low spinning rate during the first boosting phase.

Abstract:A final inflation model for parachutes was established. The forebody, suspension lines and canopy were modeled as a series of elastically connected mass nodes. The flow field inside the canopy was two-dimensional inviscid, incompressible flow. The model was used to calculate the variations of the canopy shape, the variations of canopy projection area and the tension of the suspension line during the final inflation phase. Numerical results were compared with the experimental data and found to be in agreement.

Abstract:In order to further research the physics characteristics of nano-semiconductor, we get the nanometer size InSb particle films deposited on the SiO2 substrate by using vacuum evaporation. The atomic force microscope was applied to survey the surface morphology of the films. The results show that the films are composite of nano-particles of InSb. From the analysis of the scanning images of these samples, the result of the experiment proves that by changing the plating time, different sizes of InSb particle can be formed.

Abstract:Silicon carbide fibers were coated with iron (Fe) via the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method. No obvious changes were observed for the silicon carbide fibers' tension while the coating process continued, but the strength of the iron-coated fiber declined accordingly as a result of the increased diameter. The resistivity decreased greatly. The dielectric constant of the iron-coated fibers could be adjusted in a wide range under different process conditions. Magnetic loss was introduced due to the inherent property of the iron. The dielectric constant and magnetic permeability could be improved under lower depositing temperature and higher flow rate of carrier gas.

Abstract:The observability analysis is a key problem of SOPLAT (single observer passive location and tracking).Becauseofthehigh nonlinear of TOA measurement equation, the observability matrix which is got by calculating Jacobin matrix is toocomplextoobtain explicit analysis conclusions. A linearization equation is deduced through a new idea, and the observabilityconditionsofSOPLAT using TOA and DOA measurements are obtained. Finally, a compute simulation result is presented.

Abstract:The remote sensing image registration is one of the most important issues of image fusion. Researchers always focus onsearchingadaptive, accurate and fast registration algorithm. A feature matchingalgorithm based on classification is proposed, which uses the correlation of the classified images to realize a precise registration after a coarseregistration.Experimentresults show thefeasibility andadaptability of the method. To bothhomogeneous images andheterogeneous images, theregistrationresults reachsub-pixelprecision.Thecost ofcomputationis farless than that of theconventionalmethodsthroughgray-basedcorrelation orfeature-basedmatching.

Abstract:It is the current trend that microprocessors extend their instruction set to speedup the multimedia applications. Intel'sMMX, SSE and SSE2 are good example. But do the multimediaapplications favorthesearchitecturefeatures? And does thecurrentsoftwaresupporttheseinstruction sets and make full use of them? These questions are of muchconcerntothe researchers. Weinvestigate theperformancecharacteristics of 2MPEG4Videoplayers on an Intel P4 baseddesktop PC bymeans ofdynamicprofiling.BasedonIntelVtune, a hardwareperformancemonitoring tool, we obtainaccurateperformancedata. And we make indepthanalysis of the obtained data based on themachine'sarchitectureparameters andperformanceprofiles. We find that the 2applicationsmakegood use of 64-bit MMXinstructions. But theyrarely use SSE and SSE2instructions. Theperformancedegradation due to Cachemisses at tow levels of Caches is remarkable. Toenhance theperformance ofMPEG4 mediaapplications, improvingmemoryhierarchyperformance andoptimizing themediaplayers are moreeffective ways thanemploying moreadvancedmultimediainstruction sets.

Abstract:The amounts of remote sensing images of global coverage will grow exponentially. To study and achieve fast and effective automatic registration of these digital data with high accuracies has become a critical problem in remote sensing. The status of the research on automatic registration of remote sensing images is presented firstly, and some relevant key techniques are discussed. And then, the existing registration algorithms are classified and analyzed from the point of a novel view, and an integrative solution is given. At the same time, three new parallel strategies are proposed with the good experiment results. Because the proposed algorithms are based on the data parallel model of coarse grain, their salability and portability are good, which can be a valuable reference for practical applications in remote sensing. Finally, the problems and challenges of the future research are pointed out.

Abstract:In order to resolve the disadvantage that much time is consumed for computing the trace of the sample covariance matrix with the traditional method when the samples continuously increase, a fast recursive algorithm is presented. The theoretical analysis and the simulation results all show that compared with the traditional method, the consuming time with our method is decreased by one order of magnitude, so it can reduce a great deal of computing time.

Abstract:The advantage of the overmoded slow-wave structures (SWS) in enhancing power capacity is analyzed theoretically. The dispersive characteristics of the rectangular corrugated overmoded SWS with the infinite length and the finite length are investigated through the theoretical method and the finite-element-method, respectively. The TM01 mode dispersive characteristics in the two cases are compared, and the results indicate that there are differences in the values of the longitudinal wavelength and its relevant frequency. The results can provide valuable reference to the design of the high-frequency structure of the high-power microwave devices.

Abstract:The non-linear and time-varying mathematical model of the anti-lock braking system (ABS) is established, and the application of sliding mode variable structure controller (SMVSC) in ABS is implemented. Two kinds of estimation algorithms of the optimal slip ratio realized by recursive least squares are proposed: one based on the mathematical model of cohesion coefficient vs. slip ratio curve, the other based on the shape of this curve. The simulation results show the feasibility and validity of SMVSC based on optimal slip ratio.

Abstract:PFC-PID cascade transparent control strategy is presented with actions of typical electromechanical servo system. The random disturbance is surpassed in inner-loop with PID control, and the internal loop is the generalized control plant of the external PFC loop. The inner model of PID is the first-order plus the dead-time model which is gained by matching generalized control plant. The paper analyses the implementary arithmetic in the servo system with saturation and lag segment, and analyses the performance of the close loop to obtain the condition of stability and robustness. The simulation results show that the new PFC-PID control method is of robustness and the ability to suppress disturbance.

Abstract:The traditional reliability concepts aim at static logic, which are no longer satisfy the requirement of the modern complex dynamic system reliability analysis. This article provides a different state space and structural function for describing dynamic system reliability. Then concepts of failure sequence and failure cluster are defined for characterizing dynamic systems' failure mode. They are extensions of the traditional static reliability concepts such as cut set and implication set, which are the special example of the provided concepts. The analog concepts including probability importance degree, structural importance degree and critical importance degree are also put forward. At last the relative concepts are illustrated using a simple example of dynamic system.
